Facilities at Litchfield Safari Camp

ablution block Litchfield Safari Camp is delighted to say that our facilities now boast a small store selling lots of camping basics including BBQ packs and pre-prepared meals. We also have a limited liquor licence (for guests only).

Safari Cabins

There are 5 safari cabins. Each cabin is carpeted with large insect screened windows, doors and ceiling vents providing cool, airy, comfortable accommodation for up to 3 adults. All cabins have a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery and cutlery, 240v lights, power outlets and fan. Most have ensuite, one with wheelchair access.

Average overnight temperatures are in the low 20 degree and even down to a chilly 12 degrees in the dry season! A comfortable night is usually assured with only a fan to assist air circulation.

Safari Cabins BBQs are available. The cabins share the many other facilities at the Camp (see right).

Bed Configuration

Safari 1and Safari 4:
1 queen bed and 1 single bed, ensuite bathroom.
$130 per night. The cabin can accommodate 1 extra bed for an additional $10 per night.

Safari 2 and Safari 3:
1 queen bed and 1 single bed, disabled access ensuite bathroom.
$130 per night. The cabin can accommodate 1 extra bed for an additional $10 per night.

Safari 5:
3 double bunks with ensuite bathroom.
$160 per night. No extra bed.

Backpacker Safari Tents - Budget Accommodation

If you're on a budget and don't have a tent, why not grab a bed in one of our large canvas tents with fan and carpeted floors.

All bed linen is supplied

$30 per bed, per night. No ensuite bathroom. Guests use the shared facilities (see picture at the top of this page).

Both powered sites and unpowered caravan sites are shady and fully grassed.

Booked caravan sites will be held until 4pm. After that time they may be reallocated unless we receive prior notification of your late arrival.

*Pets may be 'transported through' Litchfield National Park. However, stopping or deviating from Litchfield Park Road whilst transporting pets is not permitted. Controlled pets on leads are accepted at Litchfield Safari Camp.

We have electricity available from a generator 24 hours a day.

Please note there is no mobile phone coverage at Litchfield Safari Camp and only limited coverage throughout Litchfield National Park.
